Nicht das uebliche Satz-Beweis-Satz-Beweis-usw. findet man hier, sondern bunt gemischt Mathemaitk, Aufgaben (leider ohne Loesungen), geschichtliche Anmerkungen und physikalische Zusammenhaenge. Insbesondere diese sind lobenswert, denn sie behandeln die theoretische Physik strenger als die meisten Physikbuecher (z.B. Entropie als Potential eines Waermevektorfeldes, Schwingungsgleichungen usw.). Ausserdem gefaellt mir das Format des Buches, etwa eine halbe Heftseite, nicht zu dick oder zu schwer, kann man also staendig mit sich rumtragen. Leider ist der Einband nicht sonderlich robust, meine Ausgabe ist nach vier Semestern ganz zerfleddert. Alles in allem ein treuer Begleiter fuer das Grundstudium. Weitere Mathematikbuecher sind eigentlich nicht noetig. (Dies ist eine Amazon.de an der Uni-Studentenrezension.)
